Warranty Information

Last updated: September 15, 2026

This Warranty Information page explains, at a high level, how manufacturer warranty coverage generally applies to HP hardware and OEM consumables purchased from Web Planets LLC (“Web Planets,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) by business customers in the United States. This page is for informational purposes only and does not replace HP’s official warranty terms or any written agreement you may have with us.

1. Manufacturer Warranty Provided by HP

Most new HP hardware products are sold with a limited warranty provided directly by HP, subject to HP’s published terms and conditions for each product line and model. HP’s warranty terms, coverage periods, and service options (such as repair, replacement, or on‑site service) are determined solely by HP and may vary by product, region, and use case.

2. Web Planets LLC as Reseller

Web Planets LLC acts as an independent reseller of HP hardware and OEM consumables. We do not manufacture HP products and we do not control HP’s warranty policies or decisions. We do not provide any additional warranty beyond what is expressly stated in writing in a specific quote or agreement.

3. Locating HP Warranty Terms

For the most accurate and up‑to‑date warranty information, customers should refer to:

  • The warranty documentation included in the product packaging.
  • HP’s official website and product support pages.
  • HP’s warranty lookup tools, where available, using the product serial number.

These sources will typically specify the warranty period, covered components, service options, and any exclusions or limitations.

4. Warranty Start Date and Coverage Period

In many cases, HP’s warranty period begins on the date of purchase or the date of first activation/registration, as determined by HP’s systems and policies. The exact start date and duration of coverage are governed by HP’s records and terms, not by Web Planets LLC. We cannot extend or modify HP’s warranty period.

5. Warranty Claims and Service Requests

If you believe an HP product purchased from Web Planets LLC is experiencing a defect covered by HP’s warranty:

  • Review the warranty documentation and HP’s support resources for troubleshooting steps and claim procedures.
  • Contact HP support directly, where required, to initiate a warranty claim or service request.
  • Provide HP with any requested information, such as proof of purchase, serial numbers, and a description of the issue.

In some cases, we may assist by providing copies of invoices or order confirmations to help you document your purchase, but HP is responsible for evaluating and fulfilling warranty claims under its own policies.

6. Consumables and Limited Warranty

HP OEM consumables (such as ink, toner, and maintenance kits) may be subject to limited warranty terms that differ from hardware warranties. These terms are typically described on the product packaging or on HP’s website. Issues such as print quality, page yield, or compatibility are generally evaluated under HP’s consumables warranty policies.

7. Exclusions and Limitations

Warranty coverage generally does not apply to damage or issues caused by:

  • Misuse, abuse, or improper installation.
  • Use of non‑HP or incompatible supplies or parts.
  • Unauthorized modification, repair, or tampering.
  • Accidents, power surges, environmental conditions, or other external factors.

The specific exclusions and limitations that apply to your product are defined by HP’s official warranty terms.

8. No Guarantee of Outcome

While we aim to provide accurate information and reasonable assistance, Web Planets LLC cannot guarantee the approval of any warranty claim or the outcome of any service request. All warranty decisions, remedies, and timelines are determined by HP in accordance with its policies.

9. Relationship to Other Policies

This Warranty Information page is intended to be read together with our Purchase Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return Policy. Those documents describe how we handle orders, deliveries, and returns, while this page focuses on manufacturer warranty coverage provided by HP.

10. Updates to This Warranty Information
